1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using AfricaConect, you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of the service

AfricaConect is a platform connecting jobseekers with recruiters. We provide the matching tools (search, application, messaging) but are not a party to any employment relationship between a candidate and a recruiter.

3. User accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity under your account. A jobseeker account is used to apply to jobs; a recruiter account is used to post jobs and search for candidates. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension is prohibited.

4. Rules of conduct

It is strictly prohibited to:

  • Post a fake or misleading job listing, or one requesting payment from the candidate to apply or be hired
  • Post discriminatory, illegal, defamatory or fraudulent content
  • Impersonate a person or company
  • Collect other users' data for unauthorized purposes (scraping, unsolicited outreach)
  • Circumvent the site's security or moderation measures (reports, company verification)

Any violation may result in removal of the relevant content, suspension or closure of the account, with or without notice.

5. User-generated content

You retain ownership of the content you post (CV, job listings, messages, reviews). By posting it, you grant us the right to display and distribute it as part of the normal operation of the service. You warrant that you hold the necessary rights to any content you post.

6. Moderation, reports and verification

We reserve the right to moderate, suspend or remove any job listing or content that violates these terms, including following a report from another user. A job closed for this reason may be disputed by the recruiter and is reviewed by our team. The "Verified company" badge is granted after reviewing a document provided by the recruiter and does not constitute an absolute guarantee of legitimacy.

7. Pricing

Use of AfricaConect is currently free for jobseekers and recruiters. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future; users will be informed in advance.

8. No warranty

AfricaConect is a technical intermediary and does not guarantee obtaining a job, the quality of candidates, or the accuracy of information posted by users. The service is provided "as is".

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, AfricaConect shall not be liable for indirect damages resulting from use of the service, including loss of a job or hiring opportunity.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for violation of these terms.

11. Changes

We may amend these terms periodically. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
